Nancy Barron
Let’s team up.
When you have an urgent, time-sensitive need for professional editing or quality assurance, I’ll be your advocate, bringing to the table my background and experience as a researcher, SEO content writer, proofreader, fact checker, and copyeditor to understand your unique perspective and needs, and make sure your message and story ring clear.
More about me:
I’ve loved reading for as long as I can remember. At a very young age I also began writing stories, and from college on started taking as many fiction workshops as I could. Since earning my M.A. in Creative Writing, I’ve had short stories published in literary magazines and am currently at work on a novel.
As a side note, in college I majored in Japanese Language and Literature. The years I spent in Tokyo, working as a Japanese-to-English translator, have influenced my approach to communicating in more ways than I can easily summarize. I will say that having trained at university to write and recognize 3,000-plus kanji pictographs (the number required to read a standard newspaper), I’m comfortable with learning almost any number of style rules, specialized terminology, and so forth.
To the above I’ll add that when I’m not writing or fixing language issues, I might be drawing, trying out recipes, traveling to new places, walking around my neighborhood, drinking coffee, or dancing Argentine Tango.
Now I want to hear from you. Please contact me with questions you have around your project or any other concerns; I promise I’ll get back to you promptly to see if we can work well together.
